...Stavanger Cruises...

Stavanger harbour will be hosting 54 cruise ship arrivals this summer. Queen Elizabeth II will be arriving Wednesday June 30 and Oceana July 12. The Port of Stavanger is a popular stop on the route to the Norwegian Fjords. The charming city center is just a small walk from the quay. Oceana
Oceana is a British registered luxury liner with a total of 1008 passenger cabins. She was built in Italy in 2000 and was formerly known as "Ocean Princess".

Queen Elizabeth II
Queen Elizabeth 2 will be arriving on June 30. This is the last year the QE2 will be making trans-atlantic cruise. She was built in 1969 in the U.K and hosts 1791 guests together with a crew of 791. 

Queen Mary II
Queen Mary 2 is the world's largest, longest, tallest, grandest Ocean Liner. She will not be visiting Stavanger this year, but will arrive twice in 2005. Queen Mary II" is 345 meters long and is the largest ship to visit the Port of Stavanger. She can carry 2 620 passengers together with a crew of 1 200. The ship was built in 2002.

Sea Cloud II
A majestic 94-passenger windjammer. After being launched in February 2001, Sea Cloud II cruises in Northern Europe, and the Mediterranean and Caribbean.She has 24 sails and two 1250 kw engines.

The World
The World is an 40,000 ton, 644 foot long luxury liner built in Norway in 2002. The ship has 110 condo-like homes on it ranging from 1,106 to 3,242 square feet. The ship has a maximum capacity of 1090 persons.
